Ok - So I've disappeared off the face of the earth in the last few weeks. Truth is I've had a 6 week 'city' internship in London which involved lack of sleep, numerous servings of coffee and barely any blogging time.
I received an offer from a top professional services firm last summer to complete a 6 week internship. I had such a ball and met so many nice people. I felt so lucky to have got a place on the scheme after the numerous amounts of people that got turned down for it.
It involved early starts, constant TFL journeys and late nights out with the other interns in central; something I never learnt my lesson about especially having to face a full day hungover the next day!
Oh and did I mention... they offered me a full time job for when I graduate :D

10 Things I learnt from working in the City
1) Women will always have to work that little bit harder to prove themselves
2) Women's office fashion is sooo much more interesting then guys
3) Never go out with the team on an empty stomach
4) Guys in suits sometimes make those long days more bare able ;)
5) Take note of Happy Hours everywhere you go... Can't always afford a £15. cocktail!
6) When wearing a cream top, always bring spare (trust me - Day 4, Mocha Spill on cream top!)
7) Always carry spray... Standing in a sweat-infused train carriage can leave you smelling vile.
8) Never turn down a team social (you don't want to feel left out the next day when they are all laughing about the previous nights antics)
9) Never make it obvious that your in a relationship/married
10) When wearing heels to work, ALWAYS bring flats in your bag. Heels on the underground is always a challenge!
